Scripture

2 Nephi 31:20

Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

Jam packed week!

This week was jam packed with so many things. On Monday, we had Family
Home evening in the church with all the recent converts and they all
turn out to be people with age. Haha. People that are very young at
heart and lived a long time. It was great because Georgina that just
got baptized can join their group, which is so cute!

Something interesting that happened this week is that the sisters
didn’t have hot water because the water tank was broken so we had to
shower with super super cold water. Haha. yeah, that was interesting.
I’m so thankful for heater tanks! On Thursday, the ward had a party
because it was like patritoic day, I think and everyone in Argentina
eats Locro which is like chili soup but it doesn’t have beans it has a
different type of corn, with meat and other things I’m not sure. But
it’s really good. I love it. After, we played karaoke and played the
game Headbands, DIY. It was cute. The ward enjoyed it.
Friday, we
helped a family move, but the most interesting part of this move is
that this family has a problem with cockroaches in their house. They’re
literally everywhere. So you can imagine how that experience came out!
But its a great memory and I was happy to help this adorable family.

They’re not moving too far, so it’s okay. Right after we had Georginas
interview and it was so cute because right when we picked her up, she
was studying for the questions they’re going to ask her. She really is
so special and loving and was so prepared to make this covenant with
heavenly father. And of course the big day! Saturday Georgina got
baptized. I know that God lives and answers our prayers because if
not, Georgina would not have been baptized. There were so many
challenges we had to face and Georgina but she made it. One of the
trials was, when Georgina came to church on Sunday, she brought her 3
great grandchildren, and Georgina is 83 years old. Obviously it was
really interesting and she traveled in the train. Of course, their dog
had to follow them as they went into the train. One of the train stops
the dog left, the doors closed, and the dog was left alone 30 blocks
away from the house. This family was so mad with the sisters but my
companion and I were in Banfield 2C for a reason. We helped them have
faith that God will do his part if we do our part and help Georgina
get baptized. We prayed so hard that this dog can find its way home
and that this family can forgive us. Literally the next day, the dog
came home! Such a blessing! Through our faith God performs miracles! I
know this is true. Te amo!
