Scripture

2 Nephi 31:20

Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

Traveling everywhere!

Hey everyone!
Time has gone so fast and I can’t believe its Monday again. This week
not much happened, but we sure did work really hard and found a lot
new investigators and set baptismal dates. This week we were with
Hermana Biesinger and Hermana Walker and they are in Alejandro Korn,
the area where I was just serving three weeks ago. So it was fun
because I got to see all the members again and my investigators. I
think one of the things I learned most this week is just open your
mouth and talk to literally everyone because we never know who is
going to be ready to makes changes in their lives and enter into the
gospel. We found so many people this week that are so ready to be
baptized and start a new life. On Thursday this week we had Family
home evening in the church and it was really fun because we made
ponchos with Relief Society for the primary and then after we played
the game "Do you love your neighbor?" It’s like the game fruit bowl.
And we also played charades...I think that’s how you spell it. Haha.
And then ate night we had Oreo night. Oreo night is a tradition in the
mission that is really funny. Every night before we get our call from
our district leader, we open a packet of Oreos and say a prayer for
every single one of our investigators, so that they can get baptized
and progress in the gospel. You have to mash up the Oreo in the cup
with milk and then drink it, and with the rest of the Oreos, you have
to eat one by one thinking of every single investigator. Haha. Its
really funny the tradition. We think Oreo should sponsor and put the
story up in their company. Haha. No just kidding. I loved my time I
had in Alejnadro Korn this week and i know that with the faith of the
sisters and Gods hand in the work, miracles can be performed. But it
always depends on us first and our Faith. I testify of this.
I love you all! Enjoy your week!

Guadalupe baptism

This week of the traveling sister missionary...Haha.
This week was so great being able to talk to the family yesterday!
Everyone is looking awesome and beautiful. Lol. This week a lot
happened. We were in San Jose an area that was near by my first area
Claypole. The people were really receptive and listening really well
to message we wanted to share with them about Jesus Christ. we had a
lot of success. We found 17 new investigators and set 10 baptismal
dates! The sisters were super happy when we left and I know that they
are going to baptize all these 10 people. I was sick this week for two
days with a fever, so it was an interesting week to start and of
course when i was sick we had Zone Conference. Which was really
inspiring, President talked a lot about obedience and the importance
of it. And to end the week, we ended with baptism! Guadalupe is a
family member of an inactive family and we found out she isn’t
baptized, so my companion and I called her mom, asked if it’s okay for
her to get baptized. And Walah! Miracles. I love bringing Gods
children unto him and helping the world be just a bit more happier and
pretty. I love you all and remember to always give your heart and
strength into everything that you do. If we don’t do this, were just
wasting our time and not progressing. Have a great week!

Traveler Missionary!

I’m pleased to announce that I’m now a Traveler Missionary!
This week was crazy because my companion and I received my call early
that I’ll be an ETM. That’s what it’s called in Spanish it stands
Especialista en el Trabajo Misional. On Wednesday we got the call and
Thursday I had my meeting to learn how to be an ETM. What we do is
travel to all the areas in the mission in Buenos Aires South and help
the sisters find people to teach, teach them and then baptize them.
Pretty much is to help them have more baptisms. Every week we travel
to an area, for only one week preparing the area or preparing
baptisms. And then the next week it’s another area. So we don’t have a
house, we live inside of our suit cases, we don’t have investigators,
we don’t have to get to know the members, we don’t plan or study for
people, we sleep on air mattresses but that’s okay! Our job is to help
sisters be more obedient, make their weaknesses be their strengths and
baptize converts. I’m so excited to work with all the missionaries in
the mission and learn so much! I know that callings in the mission are
for a reason. We set goals and then give all we can to complete them.
This week I’m going back to one of my areas, Ciudad Evita! So that’ll be
fun. My companion now is Hermana Menezes, she’s from Brazil and has a
little bit more time than I do in the mission. We are ready to work
hard with lots of energy and find new people! I love the Lords work
with all my heart and I’m so happy to be an ETM!
Love you all!
