Scripture

2 Nephi 31:20

Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

Blessings!

Blessings!
This week was full of fun and blessings. We started our week on Monday  night finding a girl named Jennifer. She’s passing through some hard times right now and we shared with her the Book of Mormon and now is a new investigator! On Tuesday, the miracle finally came, we fixed our bikes and our now travelling everywhere in Alejandro Korn. Haha. Wednesday, of course was a huge miracle because we had zone conference. Thursday, passed the rainstorm all day long and the worst part about it is that the rain was coming in our apartment and flooding it so to absorb the rain we used the extra sheets we have in the apartment. Haha. But overall it was a great day! Friday, the best day overall because we found a new couple that are married!! This is a huge miracle because no one here in Argentina are married. There anmes are Maria and Eduardo, they have a desire to learn more about Jesus Christ and the help of the church with families because here son is a drug addict. After, later that night, we made popcorn with Pablo and Katarine and taught them about Faith and why we need to have it in this life and that they need to trust God that they are prepared for baptism and won’t know everything before baptism. Saturday, we taught a recent convert and an eternal investigator that only listens and doesn’t want to act. But after these lessons we taught Santos and Valentina and set a date for baptism for the 5th of March. We’re hoping they feel prepared by this date and nothing happens in the next two weeks. Cross your fingers! And Sunday, Santos, Valentina, Pablo and Katarine were all at church. The blessings just keep on coming and coming. I love the gospel so much. It’s so beautiful. The best part when ending church, a member that was inactive and is now attending brought her grandson to church and he wants to be baptized! We have an appointment with him tonight but he lives with his other grandparents in another area who are Jehovah Witness and they don’t want anything with the church. And at the end of the week he’s with his mom and his grandma. So through the desire of this little kid who is 10 years old is activating his mom and grandma from the desire he has to be baptized. All I can say is thank you. Thank you for all the blessings and miracles that come from obedience. I love you all and have a great week! Enjoy the weather wherever you are because itll be raining over here everday of the week!

CHALLENGE: For all of you thinking about serving a mission, DO IT It will be like nothing you've ever done before, but definitely worth it! The adults, and families, do everything you can to help the missionaries. EVERYONE has a testimony, share it. :) You never know when you can impact someone's life.

11 Months!

11 months, can you believe it?!

On Monday was such a crazy day. The apartment was so dirty and you know me, I can’t handle dirt and clutter. So I chucked everything out
that was unnecessary. Haha. I felt so much better after, but my companion thinks I’m absolutely crazy. Tuesday, we taught two of our investigators, named Santos and Valentina. Valentina has ovary cancer and is like 45 years old. This couple is the cutest things ever. I love them so much, this day they were having a really hard day and we asked them if they’ve been praying. They said no. We ended the lesson asking them three times to pray and we ended the lesson with Santos praying. When he ended the prayer he and his wife were crying. They said the only way we can help them is keep teaching them so they can keep having faith. I love them so much and they’re so ready to be baptized they just to feel ready yet. I know they will be baptized and will bless their lives extremely. Friday, we taught another couple that recently were separated and got back together again because they’re both listening to the lessons. This couple they’re both really young, Pablo is 24 and Katarine is 25. When we taught them Katarine said that she attended a catholic church the other day and doesn’t like that church because she feels a difference in the spirit and doesn’t like how they worship other gods or images. Them two are just so sweet and I know they will also get baptized just don’t feel that prepared right now. But with a couple more lessons I know they will gain more confidence.

I love the gospel so much and I know it to be true because it changes it changes the lives of people. We don’t change the people, the love of our Heavenly Father and the example of Jesus Christ changes people. I love you all. Have a great week!

New location - Alejandro Korn

Alejandro Korn B!
Changes are hard but so awesome in the mission. I am now in Alejandro Korn B and i absolutely love it. It’s so gorgeous. We have half country and half city. My companion is Hermana Moreta who’s from Spain. Her family is Indian and it’s the coolest thing ever. She’s been inactive most of her life. She arrived in the mission not knowing who Joseph Smith is and now is baptizing and teaching so many people with so much excitement to teach and talk to everyone. Moreta is the cutest. We are excited to work together. Her trainer trained me also and so I know how everything will be. I love the mission and changes. It gives me an opportunity to learn more and love the gospel just more. During the week we had a worldwide mission conference, They announced a change in the schedule of the missionaries worldwide. They did it so we can have more control of our time and not be so tired!, I absolutely love it !! And we now only report 4 of the 9 key indicators which will hopefully focus our efforts on those 4, which are baptisms and confirmations, investigators in sacrament, New investigators, and Baptismal Dates that we have. This week everything is new for me. New companion, new area, new schedule, new ward and the best thing about it all is, my companion and I can make mistakes but learn together too. I love the gospel with all my heart and am so excited for everything to come.
This area has a lot of investigators progressing so I’m super excited.
Love you all and miss you. Have a great week. Chao!

Balloons!

Hello World!
This is Hermana Davis speaking from Buenos Aires Argentina and it is so hot here, I’m dying. Lol. No, just kidding. This week was a great week and very busy. Every week we learn something new, and this week I learned to be diligent with the time that we have. On Tuesday, was my companion's birthday and we started off our morning with interviews with our president and I asked him to have a blessing for the new year and just a blessing of comfort because I’ve been having a little hard time with not being stressed with the little amount of time that we have. And then after one of the members, put together a little birthday party for Hna. Rascon and it was adorable. And of course we ended the night running through the storm to just buy some ice cream. It was raining and thundering and had such strong wind. And then there was us, walking in the rain with our umbrellas that were folded in the opposite direction because of the wind, extremely wet, and buying ice cream. Haha. It was so hilarious this day. Wednesday, we had exchanges and it was fun. Everyone thinks that I’ll be the next sister leader the next transfer so I’ll be having a lot of exchanges! It should be fun, but we'll all find out next week. Also, we taught three Jehovah witnesses this week because they have an older sister. And it was a really interesting lesson because Blen their older sister is 17 years old and wants to know which church is true because they were evangelists or Christians before, and then they changed because all their answers were in the bible and the Jehovah witnesses helped them with their doubts and now we're teaching them the fullness of the gospel. And they're really excited and interested. But were moving at a slow pace with them because we don't want to lose them, but this week we invited them to pray to know if the church is true and they believe they can receive and answer. Because they really are so awesome. Whenever they are confused or have questions they always ask us and want to know why and we have to cite a scripture to go with it so my companion and I are studying a lot for them. Which is so great. Friday, we had the Family Home Evening and played the game with balloons. It was really fun because you have to tie the balloon with a string around your ankle and then try to pop the other people’s balloons without them popping yours. It was cute. And then we ended the night eating pizza. And yeah the rest of the week, was just visiting people knocking on doors and visiting inactive members. The best part about this week was that 3 of our investigators came to church and were so excited to learn more! Their names are Candela, Nico and Gabi. They're all kids but so great. The prophets said that we need to teach and help the youth and young people obtain testimonies in the gospel because the youth are the most receptive right now to accept the gospel. And they have so much excitement to know the true church and love the activities there are. I know this to be true and it’s also another testimony to me because Joseph Smith was young when he saw Heavenly father and Jesus Christ. People may have doubts why a young boy, that can't happen. But I want to testify that it was a young boy because the other people who were much older had a firm mind set to not believe and a only a young boy could believe that they saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and not deny it. I know this church is true with all my heart and know that whenever we have a doubt we can ask God if these things are true. I hope you guys have an amazing week and this week we start February! Love you!
