Scripture

2 Nephi 31:20

Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

Amazing week

07/17/17
Amazing week!
I haven’t learned so much in my life and I think we all needed this experience this week. This week we were with Hermana Mattos and Hermana Hernandez, they were having some trouble working together good and working and visiting people when they have time. Being with them was amazing. We started the week a little interesting because where the sisters are living they’re living with two other sisters so we were six girls in a little itty bitty apartment, with one bathroom and hardly any space for our air mattresses. Haha. But it was super fun because every night we were able to talk about how our day went and just talk.

The sisters are so amazing and love to learn. This week my companion and I were helping them to do street contacting and literally talk to every single person and when were tired we don’t go home until its night time. So that we can end the day feeling happy and that we gave all we could. This week I also learned about Christs love for his children. I read a story in the liahona that talks about a mother telling her daughter to not touch the hot stove. When the mom left her daughter touched the hot stove and ran and hid when her mom came back. When the mom came looking for her daughter she was thinking why is my daughter hiding and she knew that she was ashamed and sad for being disobedient and thinks that her mom will get mad. The mom thought a little, then found her daughter crying. She didn’t yell nor do anything rude. All she did was heal her burned finger and told her that its important that we elarn from our mistakes. In the talk it then explained that this is how our heavenly father looks at us. At times when we make mistakes and want to run and we are ashamed and don’t want to repent, but all our father in heaven wants to do is heal us and sometimes we don’t permit him. One of the hardest things for me is forgiving myself but when I read this talk, I really then did understand the amount of love our Heavenly Father has for every single one of us.

Talking with the sisters every week, getting to know every single one of them and their conversion is so beautiful. I know that every person that we get to know or talk to has an impact in our lives. we may not know it or notice it in that exact moment, but that is why it’s important we learn something new every day. So that’s my invitation to you all. To try to notice and take time at the end of your day to meditate and be grateful for the things that you learned and understand now.
I love you all and hope you have an awesome week. And enjoy the sun because its super cold here¡ Chau¡

16 months in the mission!

07/10/17

16 months in the mission!
I have no idea how time has gone by so fast but I’m absolutely loving it here in Argentina. My companion and I are working a full so that these sisters can have success in their missions. This week we were in Banfield with Hermana Rivarola and Hermana McBride. These sisters are so awesome. Every time we get to their apartments, we set up all our things and then have an inventory of the things they’d like to become better at. And then my companion and I help them with these weaknesses. I love it because I learn so much from them also!
This week was a very spiritual week for me. I felt Christs love so much in my heart. While waiting for interviews with President, my companion was playing the piano, missionaries were talking, and I was reading the scriptures and the liahona and I just thought that never in my life again, I will have this opportunity to be with so many missionaries. I really felt like I was in the temple and felt like Jesus Christ was right next to me, helping me realize all the blessings that I have. Also this week, I learned about blessings. If we want to receive blessings we first have to be obedient. Teaching a lesson this week to a woman named Camila. She wants help with her studies but God will not give us the blessing if were not prepared to receive it. We have to do our part. So I was thinking, there are so many families with member in the family that are members of the church but they’re not active and how can these families unite and have an eternal family again? By being obedient, having family home evening. I love the concept of family home evening because it really brings another spirit into the home. And so I want to invite all of you guys to have family home evening tonight. Even if its 5 minutes. It won’t hurt and I promise you’ll feel much better and have another spirit in your homes.
I can’t believe that time is going by so fast. I can’t wait to see you all again. But right now I’m in Argentina. I may not have an area or investigators. But I have Jesus Christ and he’s my best friend ever. Talking with him everyday is so important for our salvation.
I love you all! Till next week!

God bless America!!!

Not gonna lie, I'm a little bummed I'm not gonna be there for my favorite day of the year in the best country ever.  Eat hot dogs, get sunburned, and do something super American for me. And send me videos and pictures of the fireworks and everything!! I love you all so much!

This week was great because I was able to return to my first area in the mission and WOW the progress in this ward a year later. And my converts are progressing so much, I’m so proud of them. Melaney is preparing for a mission, and Maxi too, but Maxi is the ward mission leader also. I have so much energy and motivation to complete with his calling its beautiful. I’ll send you all some pictures of how everything went!

Best convert ever. He’s going to be a great missionary. Go maxi!

The ward had a huge activity with food from different countries. And these are the girls i was with during the week!

We ate Milanesa Nepolitaniana! Its fried chicken with red tomato sauce on top with mozzarella cheese! One of my favorites.

Nora, I contacted this woman in the street when I was in Claypole, my companion also served in Claypole and baptized Nora. We are now all together, from the start with a little seed to a member!

We also made Brigadeiro! From Brazil, I’m sure aunt Mariesa knows what it is. It’s like fudge and it’s so delicious!

This wall says "LDS siempre". And of course I had to take a picture with it then...Lol.

Melaney, the sweetest, best convert ever. And my first in the mission!

Lunch with maxis family!

Happy 4th of July peeps! Love you!

Worked our booties off!

06/26/17

Hola Familia y Amigos!
I can’t even explain how great this week was. We worked our booties off and ended the week with ice cream! That’s the only way to describe it. Lol. We found so many new people to teach for the sisters in Ezeiza! 11 new investigators and 3 of them have a baptismal date set! It was so fun working with them because they were so excited to work! Some interesting things happened this week like, I taught a lesson in English all by myself because my companion doesn’t know how to speak English, and it was just terrible, I truly lost my English. I don’t make any sense at all. I can write fine, but talking and teaching the gospel?! No! Haha. So when we set another appointment we had to plan it so I can go with the other sister that speaks in English. Haha. But at the end of the day it was fun. Also this week we had Zone conference and it was great because were really focusing on what Jesus Christ did for us and understanding the atonement and helping people learn about him. I learned that once they understand Jesus Christ and his teachings, members, inactives, investigators, everyone will be coming to church and ever church building will be filled if we just focused on Jesus Christ and what he did for us. I feel Christs love everyday!

Also this week in Argentina, was Flag day, I think that’s what it’s called in English and so we had a big ward party and ate empanadas which were so so so yummy. On Sunday, ending the week, we always go back to our apartment which is now the casita in Presidents backyard. My companion and I enjoyed our night talking to Presidents wife about all the miracles we saw this week and just the motivation that we have to give our all especially because this week, were going back to Claypole! My first area, where I started the mission! Woohoo! I love the mission so much and seeing the happiness it brings to people’s lives. Love you all!
