Hello World!
This is Hermana Davis
speaking from Buenos Aires Argentina and it is so hot here, I’m dying. Lol. No,
just kidding. This week was a great week and very busy. Every week we learn
something new, and this week I learned to be diligent with the time that we
have. On Tuesday, was my companion's birthday and we started off our morning
with interviews with our president and I asked him to have a blessing for the
new year and just a blessing of comfort because I’ve been having a little hard
time with not being stressed with the little amount of time that we have. And
then after one of the members, put together a little birthday party for Hna.
Rascon and it was adorable. And of course we ended the night running through
the storm to just buy some ice cream. It was raining and thundering and had
such strong wind. And then there was us, walking in the rain with our umbrellas
that were folded in the opposite direction because of the wind, extremely wet, and
buying ice cream. Haha. It was so hilarious this day. Wednesday, we had
exchanges and it was fun. Everyone thinks that I’ll be the next sister leader
the next transfer so I’ll be having a lot of exchanges! It should be fun, but
we'll all find out next week. Also, we taught three Jehovah witnesses this week
because they have an older sister. And it was a really interesting lesson
because Blen their older sister is 17 years old and wants to know which church
is true because they were evangelists or Christians before, and then they
changed because all their answers were in the bible and the Jehovah witnesses
helped them with their doubts and now we're teaching them the fullness of the
gospel. And they're really excited and interested. But were moving at a slow
pace with them because we don't want to lose them, but this week we invited
them to pray to know if the church is true and they believe they can receive
and answer. Because they really are so awesome. Whenever they are confused or
have questions they always ask us and want to know why and we have to cite a
scripture to go with it so my companion and I are studying a lot for them.
Which is so great. Friday, we had the Family Home Evening and played the game
with balloons. It was really fun because you have to tie the balloon with a
string around your ankle and then try to pop the other people’s balloons
without them popping yours. It was cute. And then we ended the night eating
pizza. And yeah the rest of the week, was just visiting people knocking on
doors and visiting inactive members. The best part about this week was that 3
of our investigators came to church and were so excited to learn more! Their
names are Candela, Nico and Gabi. They're all kids but so great. The prophets
said that we need to teach and help the youth and young people obtain
testimonies in the gospel because the youth are the most receptive right now to
accept the gospel. And they have so much excitement to know the true church and
love the activities there are. I know this to be true and it’s also another
testimony to me because Joseph Smith was young when he saw Heavenly father and
Jesus Christ. People may have doubts why a young boy, that can't happen. But I
want to testify that it was a young boy because the other people who were much
older had a firm mind set to not believe and a only a young boy could believe
that they saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and not deny it. I know this
church is true with all my heart and know that whenever we have a doubt we can
ask God if these things are true. I hope you guys have an amazing week and this
week we start February! Love you!
