Scripture

2 Nephi 31:20

Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

Scripture challenge

Hey Family!
I hope you all had a great week, partying it up at Madi’s wedding and enjoying the sun! It has been so sunny and raining at the same time here in Argentina. The weather in Argentina is the same as Las Vegas..bipolar. Haha.

On Monday we had family home evening with Ruben and he seriously is such a great investigator. He has a date for baptism the 29th of October, and said that he has been looking for the truth for so long and is so happy he has found it. Honestly the gospel is perfect for him because he doesn’t have any friends and family and wants to feel happy again. He is so great also because he gave us all the clothes from his wife that passed away to give to members that don’t have many clothes. We are doing so much work and service in this ward i love it.

Tuesday we were proselyting and no one opened their doors but we bought chocolate covered peanuts and so in the end of the day it was great!

Not much happened Wednesday and then Thursday we had a tormenta celestial and so companerismos helped us knock on doors and talk to so many people to find new investigators to teach. We found a new family, who’s named Alejandra, Adrian, and Augustina. They are such an adorable family and said that they have been waiting and wanting to hear something like this all day. I know that when we follow the promptings of the spirit we will be so blessed.

And a funny story that happened today, my companion and I went shopping in an area to buy fruit for super cheap and so on our way home we were traveling in the bus. Anyway, It was filled extremely with people, and so we were close to our stop to leave the bus and just when the bus stopped, my bag full of onions ripped and there was like 10 onions everywhere rolling around but I needed to leave the bus and as I was leaving my companion dropped 3 oranges and this was our day. Lol. It was so funny but so sad because we just bought our fruits and vegetables.

The mission is full of crazy experiences and I love every moment of it. This week I have a challenge for you guys because we always need to learn something new.

CHALLENGE: I want everyone to read one of my favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon, and then study it. :) So, its 3 Nephi 11, then send me an email about what you discovered and your thoughts and impressions. This is the link to get it online https://www.lds.org/scriptures /bofm/3-ne/11?lang=eng

I love you all and have a good week!

7 months!

7 months in the mission!

What? So crazy right? I know, I can’t believe it either. And the best thing is people are progressing in Ciudad Evita. We had two investigators attend church on Sunday and it was great. And also one of our other investigators, Ruben, he has a date for baptism. I just know that the gospel is the thing that will change his life and will help him feel that peace. This week was crazy and so much traveling with my companion. On Tuesday, our phone broke so we traveled like two hours, to the office of the mission to get another phone. And on Friday we went to the dentist for my companion and that was like 10 hours with travel. But this week was a successful week. We have 4 new investigators, one with a date for baptism and 2 investigators progressing in the gospel. It’s honestly the best part of missionary work when you see people enjoying the blessings of the gospel. I love the mission so much.

Also, Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommy’s out there in the world. In Argentina its mother’s day this Sunday so celebrate mothers out there. Make your children clean your house and make you breakfast. No, Just kidding. Love you all.

Something I learned this week that I want to share with you all is that no matter what day it is, we are here in this life to progress and learn and become better people. If we don’t have goals, set goals to become a better person, a child of God. I know that even if the goal is small the just smile in the days that are hard or breathe when were irritated, we as people will change and become more united. I love the Lord so much and am so grateful for my family to be able to live with them for eternity.

Un besito,

Work is improving!

Hi Family!
This week we started doing Family Home Evenings with members and watching short movie clips of how to strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ. It is working tremendously because the ward lacks unity and so with Family Home Evening, food and the spirit. The ward members gain better relationships and become more strong members in the gospel. On Tuesday, I had exchanges with Hermana Villavicencio, my first companion in the mission it was awesome and different at the same time because my first experience with her was hard because I didn't know the language but this time we worked so hard and it was only for 24 hours! Haha.

We found an old investigator whose name is Rueben. He is so spiritual but the thing is he talks a lot and it’s hard to control the situation especially because he is 75 years old. His wife passed away 5 years ago and he feels so sad and misses her so much. When we taught him I felt like I needed to share the experience I had with Betty passing away and in the end of the lesson the spirit was so strong and he said he wants to live with her again and will do anything to live with her again. With this experience I know that I am in Ciudad Evita for a reason.

On Friday we visited the temple with our grandpas. Haha. These men are less actives and my companion and I found them visiting members and they did not receive the reteachings after baptism and that's why they're not attending church now. We love them so much. The man on the left is named Facundo, he reminds us of the grandpa from the movie Up. Haha. And on the right his name is Miguel. Haha. The work is improving and we are teaching more now. I know that when the work is hard that's when we learn the most and if we give all of our strength we will have fruit in the end.

I love the gospel so much and I love you all. Have a good week!
